I have started cooking a lot for a special personal concierge client & her family & this post is the result of researching a better way to organize their spices. I came across this product ~
each cabinet holds 27 spices & can handle bottles of different sizes. the shelves slide out & then tilt down so that you can see what you are looking for quite easily. here they are in an actual kitchen ~

what is this?
this is a free service that we just signed up for called the birdy. the birdy tracks what you spend on discretionary purchases. via a once-daily email, Birdy asks, “what’d you buy today?” & you reply with a description & tags ~ like this: “$10 lunch #food #work” & the birdy will record it in your account. you can also enter the information directly on their site & you do not give them any accounts or personal information. easy, peasy!
you then get charts & calendars showing you where your expenditures are going.
great way to keep on track for 2012!

we all have them ~ little bits & pieces from a fabulous vacation, theater stubs, fortune cookie sayings, pins from disney, buttons & badges, shells from the beach weekend, small trinkets that have special meaning, etc. when organizing in my client’s homes, I find them in night table, desk & junk drawers & in the midst of other clutter on horizontal surfaces. here is a better idea ~
